Rosemary is an aromatic Mediterranean perennial herb with a strong, earthy flavour, widely used to season roasted vegetables, meats, and breads. Its needle-like evergreen leaves are highly fragrant and can be harvested as required. Once established, rosemary provides fresh, fragrant leaves year-round, making it a dependable addition to herb gardens, borders, containers, or kitchen plots.
This slow-growing herb prefers a warm, sunny position with well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil. It thrives in Mediterranean-style conditions, tolerates dry soils, and benefits from occasional pruning to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth.
Rosemary is also excellent for pollinators, particularly bees such as honeybees and bumblebees.
Packet contents
Each packet contains approximately 100 rosemary seeds. Rosemary seeds can germinate slowly and somewhat irregularly, so sowing several seeds together in each pot will help ensure successful establishment.
